ONGOING: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 9:00 - 9:45
Tai chi and yoga are fused together to create a healing symphony of motion. Graceful movements of the upper and lower torso create a sense of well-being in body, mind and spirit. Wonderful for pain and stress management.
With regular attendance, you will improve your:
- BODY...The full range of soothing movements feel good to your joints and are beneficial afterward, out of the water, as well. Wonderful for arthritis, fibromyalgia, the stiffness that comes with aging, and many other conditions
- MIND... With practice, the mind is free to become absorbed in the present, feeling only the breath and the movement. This is possible due to the repetitive nature of the class and the emphasis on breath. Focus, concentration, memory and mental strengh have all been shown to improve with regular practice
- SPIRIT... Gradually you begin to feel calmer and more peaceful. This feeling can and is carried over into daily life by our "regulars" (see Ai Chi article in Patriot News)
Ai Chi was created in Japan and brought to the US. It is helping people all over the country and the world.
"I LOVE THE AI CHI CLASS! I want you to keep teaching this class as long as I live. Sometimes people come into our lives and make our lives better. You are one of them." J Graybill, Shiremanstown
TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 10:00 - 10:45 AM, 12:00 - 12:45 PM
Having fun is very important to progress! We use balls, stretch bands, foam dumbbells, paddles, ankle cuffs, water steps, and more to make classes interested and varied. The results are phenomenal!
People with joint pain from arthritis, fibromyalgia, or orthopedic condition feel better because of class. People with MS, diabetes, cardiovascular conditions and recovering cancer patients all see improvement. Balance is stressed in every class and as a result, most people see significant improvement on land as well as in the water.
Discover how the magic of water can cure what ails you!
"Thank you!! I just want you to know you've given me back my life, my independence, and my self esteem. Now I know I can get up in the morning and conquer my arthritis. Before I was willing to just sit and leave it go. I thought I was getting too old. So Thank You, Thank You!"
Ellen Gouchenauer, Mechanicsburg
People say it's "like physical therapy only better".
"I can't begin to tell you how much your class has helped me. You have been a blessing to me and I thank you for all you do! God bless you today and always!" Marsha Penartz, Mechanicsburg

"I started Ai Chi just to improve my balance. Little did I know how much my aches and pains would diminish. I'm hooked! People would come to your class a few times just because they like you, but the reason everyone keeps coming back is because they feel so much better." Betty Hilles, nurse
"I came to Ai Chi to improve my balance, help my arthritic knees, and decrease my stress level. Thankfully Susan's class has done all this for me and more. Also I sleep better and grind my teeth less. I've been able to successfully use the breathing exercises during the day to take some of the stress out of my life." Liz Dougherty, teacher
I came to water-gait walking with a cane and even though I worked hard in class, I never believed I would ever walk without it again. Now, after eight weeks, I am thrilled and amazed. I can walk without my cane for the first time in years! Karen D, nurse
